Novy Most (New Bridge) is a particularly distinctive bridge over the river Danube in Bratislava. It was constructed in 1972 and originally called Most SNP (Bridge of the Slovak National Uprising). The construction, standing at 95 metres high, is the only bridge member of the World Federation of Great Towers.
The bridge is also famous for the flying-saucer shaped structure on its top, with a popular restaurant called UFO located inside. The observation deck offers the city's visitors an amazing panoramic view on Bratislava and its beautiful old town and castle, open daily from 10AM to 10PM Monday to Friday and from 11AM to 10PM on Saturdays. Entrance is free of charge for the restaurant's customers.
