 The swimming places in Bratislava

 



The natural lake Cunovo
The Cunovo lake is classified to 2nd level of water cleanliness and swimming here is forbidden.

Kuchajda
It is located near the Bratislava-Nove Mesto railway station and the Polus city center shopping centre.

Rusovce
Swimming in Rusovce isn’t officially allowed, but it isn’t forbiden either. The lakes of Rusovce are the centre of local nudists. The border between the nudist beach and the public part has not been marked so far.

Vajnory
Also commonly called the Bager. These are the two artificial lakes, located nearby the D61 route from Trnava to Bratislava.

Zlate Piesky (The Golden Sands)
Zlate Piesky are the largest sport and recreational area in Bratislava. Apart from the lake itself, the guests are offered a boat and water bike rentinng house, a slide, minigolf, table tenis, a beach volleyball playing field, a kids garden, two restaurants and 15 buffets.

In Slovakia, there are officially no public or private beaches or swimming pools for nudists. Apart from Rusovce, the only place where you can find any nudists is the unfenced side of the Golden Sands. Nudists might also visit Kosariska and the gravel pit behind the railway in Senci. Since there is no special place dedicated just for the nudists, nudity might be considered breaking the law for the public order.

If the police receives an emergency about an evidence of a scandal in public, the nudist will have to pay a punishment of 1000 slovakian crowns.

The “Dolphin” swimming pools.
It’s a swimming pool with the size of 33.3x20 meters, its maximum depth can reach 190 centimeters. Apart from the main pool with several attractions there is also a kids pool.

Matador
It’s a swimming pool with the size of 20x22 meters, its maximum depth can reach 240 centimeters. Apart from a pool for beginning swimmers and a kids pool there are also shower rooms, cloakrooms, a buffet, a slide and a parking.

Rosnicka
It’s a swimming pool with the size of 50x20 meters, its maximum depth can 250 centimeters. Apart from two smaller pools there are also shower rooms, a sauna, massages, cloakrooms, a buffet, a restaurant, a slide, a beach volleyball court, a kids garden and a parking.

Tehelne pole
It’s a swimming pool with the size of 49x18 meters, its maximum depth can reach 200 centimeters. Apart from a smaller pool and a kids pool there are also shower rooms, cloakrooms, a buffet, a slide, a kids garden and a parking.

Other swimming places open during the summer season include Krasnany, Raca and Lamac.

The closest thermal swimming places can be found in Gyor.
Open daily from 8 am to 10 pm. It can offer 5 recreational pools, 4 thermal pools (With the temperature between 29 and 39 Celsius degrees), 2 slides (64- and 38-meters long), a kids pool, geysers, a waterfall and caves. Other attractions include 3 restaurants, a water bar, a saunabar, a buffet, a bakery, hairdressers, a beauty parlor and a dentist.

Sturovo
Open from may 1st to September 15th between 10 am to 6 pm; in June, July and August open from 9 am to 8 pm. It can offer 8 swimming pools with the water temperature between 26 and 36 Celsius degrees, a slide, a beach volleyball court, paintball, minigolf, a tennis court and petanque.
