Európska noc divadiel 2013
Európska noc divadiel (European Theatre Night) is a European-wide event. It features theatre performances and different events in which theatre players address their public. The event is very popular with spectators and theatres of the Bratislava region, because it presents theater in a creative way.
The night of theatres, organised for the 4th time, will take place in 40 theaters in 15 towns and cities in Slovakia. The audience will enjoy comedies, drama, ballet, contemporary dance, musicals, marionette theaters and varied accompanying program.
In addition to theatrical performances viewers will be able to participate in workshops as well as listen to jazz and folk songs. They will be able to go backstage and discuss with the creators and discover the hidden corners of the theater, see theexhibition of theater posters and archival video projections of performances.This year's motto is: Actors don't sleep! Come and see!
The theatre night is held annually, always on the third Saturday of November, simultaneously in several Slovak towns. In Slovakia it is coordinated by Theatre Institute Bratislava. The initiator of the European theater night project, which this year involves 11 countries, is the Croatian Noč kazalište.
Entry is limited to theater capacity. Entrance to all events is free, unless otherwise mentioned in the program.
