Devín Carpathians can boast its castles, most recognizable the Bratislava Castle and the ruins of Devín Castle. The mountains feature a great number of cultural and natural sights. There are caves, tramping huts, as well as old military structures, an open-air geology museum and a chemical waste dump. Devin Carpathians can be easily reach from Bratislava because the area of the mountains borders the capital city of Slovakia. Only 16km north-west of Bratislava, there is located Devinska Kobyla – a well-known botanical site. Dry grasslands are typical for Devínska Kobyla. It presents one of the the most species‐rich plant communities in Europe containing numerous rare and endangered species such as a critically endangered  of Peucedanum arenarium or threatened species of Iris pumila. the Devínska Kobyla is also the highest peak in the Devin Carpathians (514 m). 1,5km north of Devinska Kobyla, there is located Sandberg - the world-famous paleontological locality created by sea sand residues. 14 million years ago this area was covered by a warm sea, and today there can be found geological and geomorphological formations and its fossil sites. Not only can tourists learn more with the geological history of Slovakia, but also they can explore beautiful nature of the area of Devinska Kobyla National Reserve, admiring fantastic views from the top of the Sandberg.
